Post 16 A Level and Vocational Examination Series Student Appeal Procedure
28 August 2020: Please refer to our latest appeal process guidance.
Autumn Examination Series
A further option that you have outside of the appeals process, is to undertake examinations in one or more of the subjects where you believe the grade does not represent your ability, or the grade you believe you could have achieved should the summer exam series had gone ahead. The autumn exam series is an opportunity for students who either were unable to receive a calculated grade in the summer, or who want to try to improve their grade.
The dates for the autumn exam series are:
- 5th to 23rd October 2020 for A Levels
- 2nd to 23rd November 2020 for GCSEs
Please see the Autumn Series Request Form – you will need to complete and submit to the exams officer at the Academy should you wish to sit any exams as part of the autumn exam series. Before doing so, please speak to a member of the Senior leadership Team or your subject teachers for further guidance.
National Exam Results Helpline
The national exam results helpline, delivered by the National Careers Service, will also be available from 12 to 28 August to provide additional support to students and their parents as they receive their exam results. Callers to the helpline will have direct access to experienced careers advisers who can advise on the different options available to them including T levels, A levels, GCSEs, BTECs, apprenticeships and other vocational options. Support will also be available on topics such as clearing, university, gap years and the autumn 2020 exam series.
